Teaching Plan and Material Resources for Students with CEFR A2 Elementary Level

The teaching plan and material resources were made based on the curriculum from the British Council, and aim to improve the students’ English level and target for CEFR B1 Intermediate Level.
The students are expected to use English as the medium language for communication during the course and have an active student-teacher relationship.
Vocabulary Lesson
In this section, the students are encouraged to learn the meaning, pronunciation and spelling of new words. The contents are organised by topics and include the exercises to help the students to learn and remember the new words.
The contents consist of the new vocabularies which are related to the air travel, people’s appearance, around town, bathroom, beaches, bicycle and motorbikes, Christmas in the UK, containers, health, streets and roads, and vegetables.
This section also provides the exercises after each topic, such as matching the words to the pictures, put the words in alphabetical order, listen to the spelling and put the letters in order, write the words to complete the sentences, and choose the correct answers.
Grammar Lesson
This grammar section gives short and clear explanations and there are exercises to help the students. It covers:
- The uses of ‘as’ and ‘like’. 2. The differences of ‘in spite of’, ‘despite’, ‘although’, ‘even though’, and ‘though’. 3. How to use the word ‘enough’, How to use ‘just’, ‘yet’, ‘still’, ‘already’ in the present tense. 4. The use of the word ‘so’. 5. The uses of ‘wish’ and ‘if only’.
- How to use the capital letters and apostrophes. 7. When to use ‘future continuous’ and ‘future perfect’. 8. The uses of ‘will’, ‘going to’, and the ‘present continuous’. 9. The uses of ‘used to’ + infinitive and ‘be or get used to + -ing’. 10. Adjectives: gradable and non-gradable. 11. Comparing and contrasting: modifying comparatives.
After grammar explanation, the students are expected to make the sentences by using the respective grammar and to choose the correct options to complete the sentences.
Listening Lesson
This section offers listening practice to help the students understand the main points of clear, standard speech about everyday or job-related topics. Situations include phone calls, meetings and interviews. Each lesson has a preparation task, an audio recording and two tasks to check the students’ understanding and to practice a variety of listening skills.
Each audio’s duration is about 2-3 minutes. The students will be given twice chances to listen to the audio. The first task is to test the students’ competence through true or false sentences and the second task is to put the sentences in the correct groups according to the audio.
The end of listening lesson is closed by the discussion with the students.
Reading Lesson
The English articles are prepared for the reading lesson. The students will be asked to read the articles and complete the tasks within 40 minutes. The first task is to choose the best answer from the questions related to the article and the second task is the true or false sentences.
After the reading lesson is finished, there will be a discussion with the students.
Speaking Lesson
The topics for the speaking section are based on each session’s study topic.

Thank you mr. Niko for teaching me. From zero to intermediate. It’s very meaningful for me. You are one of the best tutors out there. You have always been punctual and the way you teach has always been easy to understand. During our time, I realized that when we learnt about anything, we can’t grasp it instantly. There is process and mistakes, and those require time. I’ve learned with mr. Niko for 3 classes.. 1 speaking class and 2 classes in business package. And I never felt so bored with the class. I feel very helped. Able to make me take a relaxed English lesson. Often I make a lot of mistakes but patiently my tutor Niko corrects me. Thank you for your patience in guiding me to use proper English. He can understood me when I was confused and sometimes using in Bahasa. Thank’s too for your support to help me to have more confidence and comfortable in English.

BTW this teacher was fired from Kaplan for stealing and lying about his qualifications. It’s obvious from his bio that he can’t speak English above a grade 1 level, so advertising him is a bad look for your site.
