Brad
IELTS 7.5
CERF C1
Hello everyone! My name is Radian Tisnapurana and people usually call me Brad (you are free to call me that). Some facts about me: I graduated from Maranatha Christian University and took English Literature as my major, I graduated from an International (now Independent) school called Temasek, so you can say that English has been my breakfast, lunch and dinner.
I have been teaching IELTS since 2 years ago and I have learned a lot. IELTS test has been an important key for those who want to go abroad, whether it is for further study or for work. Many of my students aspired to reach a new horizon and to get a taste of a new culture in order to gain new experience. The good news is, they have already reached it and they are in various countries as we speak, such as Australia, England, Singapore and others.
I actually enjoy teaching IELTS. Why? Because it has always been my happiness to see my students being able to get a step closer to their dream. It is a huge honor for me to be able to guide people to reach their own dream. Not to mention that teaching IELTS has given me many new things to learn.
So, are you going to be the next one who will reach that new horizon? If so, then let’s study!
Student Name: Josh Tunggal
Simulation Date: Feb 20, 2021
Notes
Josh has demonstrated interest in English. He could use English with a little push from people around him. His pronunciation was very clear for his age. He understood basic daily English vocabulary. However, it took him a while to recall a word. This can be solved by using flashcard to intrigue instant memory (word and picture). Josh could create very simple sentences (I like car. I like noodle) but he needs to be exposed more to various kinds of simple sentences. He tended to use single word rather than to form a sentence.
Student’s goal:
To use English in daily activity at home and school
Recommended plan:
– Sentence introduction
– Vocabulary and single pronunciation drilling (flashcard and games – Kahoot)
– Theme-based lesson plan starting from beginning (Alphabets, numbers, self-introduction, coolurs, etc)
– Go towards: at the end of the lesson, Josh will be able to (1) form basic sentences, (2) ask questions in English, (3) form simple descriptive text orally.
Note: He likes cars and basketball. Find games suitable for his age. He tended to look at mum for support, earn his trust to be okay learning without mum. However, it is okay to involve mum for practice at times.
